Understanding genetics to improve health.
At the center of genetic research, collaboration, education and discovery.
The Center for Genetic Medicine facilitates the development of new genetic knowledge and its application to medicine, while improving public understanding of genetics. We support the genetic research of more than 100 faculty members from 20 departments and two schools through our core facilities and services, in addition to offering formal academic programs and public education. This collaborative and interdisciplinary model has led to groundbreaking discoveries in cancer genetics, cardiovascular disease, neurogenomics and more — research that’s changing how we diagnose and treat disease.
Research
At the Center for Genetic Medicine, research is driven by innovation, collaboration and impact. Our scientists investigate a wide spectrum of topics — from rare disease genes to population-level genomics — with a focus on shaping the future of precision medicine.
