PhD: Graduate Theological Union, Social Ethics (1993)

Description of Interests

I am interested in the larger topic of social justice in health care, and in the ethical issues in how we conceive, direct and regulate the teaching of medicine and science, the research praxis, and the policy that shapes and funds research. I primarily am interested in basic and translational research. While I have focussed my attention on issues in stem cell research, AIDs, synthetic biology and neuroscience, I am also interested in the issue of foster care. I study at the intersection of religious studies, theology and moral philosophy.
